The Overton 5 is an established 5 mile road race through the countryside surrounding Overton in Hampshire. Based at Overton Recreation Centre, the event forms part of the Hampshire Road Race League and follows country roads around the village.
Runners tackle an undulating course featuring rolling hills and sweeping rural views, creating a varied challenge over the 5 mile distance. The course is largely on closed roads, allowing runners to focus on their pace while taking on the distinctive Overton hills.
Organised by Overton Harriers, the race welcomes runners of different abilities and provides a race memento for finishers. Free kids races take place at race headquarters before the main event, helping make the Overton 5 a family friendly fixture on the local running calendar.
