The Otterton Reindeer Run is a festive running event held in the Otter Valley in Devon, raising funds for local community projects. Starting outside St Michael's Church, the event brings together runners, families and supporters for a morning of countryside running, Christmas costumes and friendly competition.
The main 10K race follows a predominantly off road route through the Otter Valley and along sections of the South West Coast Path, with quiet country lanes and muddy trails adding variety. The course measures approximately 10.3K, while a separate 3K fun run provides a shorter option for younger runners and families.
Fancy dress is encouraged, with prizes for the best adult and junior costumes. After the races, participants can head to Otterton Village Hall for complimentary hot drinks and mince pies, with additional refreshments available. The event combines festive celebrations with fundraising for projects that benefit the local community.
