The Oldbury 10 Mile is a flat road race through the countryside around Oldbury on Severn, following quiet lanes close to the River Severn. The accurately measured course starts and finishes near Oldbury Power Station and provides a largely rural setting across the full 10 miles.
The route is known for its flat and fast profile, with long stretches of quiet country road allowing runners to settle into their pace. Two water stations provide support along the course, while gun to chip timing records results and prizes are awarded across a range of categories.
Organised by Thornbury Running Club, the race brings runners to the Severn-side countryside for a well established 10 mile event. The Oldbury 10 Mile also regularly forms part of the Avon Road Race Championships and is the third event in Thornbury Running Club's race series.
