Oktoberfest is a multi distance trail running event based at Rodley Cricket Club in Leeds, with races from 10K through to a 33 mile ultra along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
The flat canal towpath provides a fast and accessible course with gentle elevation around the locks. Runners can choose from 10K, 10 miles, half marathon, 20 miles, marathon and ultra marathon distances, making the event suitable for a broad range of abilities and endurance goals.
Routes are chip timed, fully marshalled and supported by regular feed stations along the canal. The largely flat profile and good underfoot conditions provide plenty of opportunity to chase a fast time, while the waterside setting gives each distance a scenic route through this part of West Yorkshire.
