Oktoberfest takes place in Rodley, Leeds, following the Leeds and Liverpool Canal through the surrounding West Yorkshire countryside. Starting from Rodley Cricket Club, the races use a flat canal towpath with gentle elevation changes around the locks, offering scenic waterside running across a range of distances.
Runners can choose from 10K, 10 mile, Half Marathon, 20 mile, Marathon and approximately 32 mile Ultra Marathon races. The 20 mile event follows two 10 mile laps, while the marathon covers two half marathon laps. The ultra extends the marathon route by a further 10K. The predominantly flat course is suitable for runners targeting personal bests, tackling their first longer distance or preparing for an endurance challenge.

Chip timing, a bespoke finisher's medal and post race treats are included, making Oktoberfest a well supported canal trail running event in Leeds for runners taking on distances from 10K to ultra marathon.
