The Offa’s Dyke 15 is a 15 mile point to point trail race following the Offa’s Dyke Path between Hay-on-Wye and Kington on the Welsh and English border. First established in 1977, the race has become known for combining historic trails with a challenging route through the border country landscape.
The course follows a mixture of trails, tracks, fields and short road sections, climbing through Bettws Dingle, Disgwylfa Hill and Hergest Ridge before descending towards the finish in Kington. Runners face significant elevation gain throughout the route, with open countryside, ridgeline running and far reaching views forming key features of the race.
With its point to point format, historic route and demanding terrain, the Offa’s Dyke 15 remains one of the best known trail races along the Welsh border.
