The NAAC Festival of Running is organised by North Ayrshire Athletics Club and features a fast 10K alongside family friendly junior events. Starting and finishing at St Matthew's Academy in Saltcoats, the event welcomes runners of all abilities and encourages participation across all age groups.
The 10K follows a flat route using the town's promenade, a tarmac former railway path and short pavement sections before returning to the athletics arena for the finish. The event also includes a chip timed 2K youth run for children aged 6 to 15 and a 400 metre fun run for younger participants.
The NAAC Festival of Running offers an excellent opportunity to race a quick 10K in a welcoming atmosphere while younger runners can enjoy their own events. Scenic coastal surroundings, strong club support and family friendly racing make it a popular fixture in the Scottish road running calendar.
