The Norden 6 Mile Road Race is the first race of the Rochdale Three Day Event, a multi day challenge that combines individual race results with overall standings across the series. Based in Norden near Rochdale, the race follows a demanding 6 mile road course with substantial elevation gain.

The route includes a long climb along Edenfield Road before descending via Ashworth Valley Road, creating a testing course that rewards strong climbing and descending ability. While part of the wider three day event, the race can also be entered as a standalone competition.

With around 585 feet of ascent packed into 6 miles, the course offers a challenging road running experience in the hills above Rochdale. Views across the surrounding countryside and its position as the opening stage of the Rochdale Three Day Event make it a distinctive fixture in the Greater Manchester racing calendar.
