The Mulgrave Castle 10K is a scenic trail race held within the private Mulgrave Estate near Sandsend and Whitby. Organised by Loftus and Whitby AC, the event offers a rare opportunity to run through historic estate grounds, with the race starting and finishing outside the iconic Mulgrave Castle while supporting the Mulgrave Community Sports Association.

The approximately 10K route follows woodland trails through the estate, passing the ruins of the old Mulgrave Castle before opening to spectacular views of the North Yorkshire coast and Whitby Abbey. The undulating off road course combines forest tracks with rewarding scenery, creating an enjoyable challenge for trail runners of all abilities.

With chip timing, supportive marshals, refreshments at race headquarters and a bespoke finisher's memento, the Mulgrave Castle 10K provides a memorable race day experience. The combination of exclusive estate access, historic landmarks and outstanding coastal scenery makes it one of North Yorkshire's most distinctive summer trail races.
