Muddy Roads Halloween 5K Trail Event

Is This The UK's Spookiest Race?

Are you brave enough to face what lurks in the dark?

Prepare for chills, thrills, and spine-tingling adventure because the most haunted 5K trail of the year is back, and organisers promise it's 'eerier than ever'! The Muddy Roads Halloween 5K Trail Event returns on 30 October in the 'haunted forest' near HMP Kirklevington Grange Prison so sign up if you dare, and make this a Halloween to remember—or to forget if you’re too scared!

The 5K course is flat and a mix of all terrains, featuring only 34 metres of elevation. The trail will first lead runners through the mysterious woodland area before directing them into the grounds of HMP Kirklevington Grange Prison.

Organisers say: "Be vigilant—keep your eyes open, or you may find yourself an unexpected guest for the night! Dive in if you dare, but don't say we didn't warn you about the spooky shadows and eerie whispers."

This race is also something of a fancy dress parade, so unleash your inner monster and dress up in your spookiest, funniest, or most creative Halloween attire. The prize for the best costume is not just any prize: it’s a top-of-the-range car valet as well as a 'sumptuous meal and drink.'

Every participant will be rewarded with a spook-tacular Halloween cake at the finish line! There will also be special prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers! If you dare to trot into the woods this Halloween, brace yourself for some shriek-worthy surprises!
