The Ullswater Way Trail event is a multi distance trail race in Glenridding, Cumbria. It takes place around Ullswater in the Lake District National Park, using the full circular lakeside route.
The courses follow the Ullswater Way with options covering 10 miles, 20 miles or an ultra distance. The routes link villages such as Glenridding and Pooley Bridge, using a continuous loop of lakeside paths, woodland trails and fellside tracks.
Terrain is fully off road with a mix of rocky paths, grassy sections and uneven lake shore trails. The longer distances include sustained climbs and exposed sections, creating a demanding but runnable mountain style profile.
The setting is classic Lake District scenery with lake views, valleys and surrounding fells throughout. It delivers a scenic but challenging trail running experience on one of Cumbria’s most iconic long distance routes.
