The Monkton Milers Santa Dash brings festive running to Troon's seafront, welcoming runners, walkers and families for a Christmas themed 5K. Starting near the Sunken Gardens, the event combines coastal scenery with a friendly atmosphere and charitable fundraising.
The flat 5K follows the original Troon parkrun route along South Beach Esplanade, heading north before turning back along the promenade towards the finish. The out and back course provides an accessible challenge for runners of different abilities, with chip timing allowing participants to record their performance while taking in the waterfront surroundings.
Festive fancy dress is encouraged, with Santa costumes and Christmas characters adding colour to the promenade. All finishers receive a medal, water and a sweet treat, while a tombola, raffle and cake stall add to the community atmosphere and help support local causes.
