The Merrell Cannock Chase Challenge takes place at Tackeroo Campsite in Staffordshire, offering 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon trail races within the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The courses are 100 percent off road, following a mix of singletrack trails, forest paths and fire roads through woodland and open heathland. The terrain is undulating throughout, with climbs, descents and flowing sections creating a challenging but rewarding trail running experience.
The Half Marathon is completed in a single lap, while the Marathon covers two laps of the same course. The 10K offers a shorter, accessible option using similar terrain, making it suitable for those new to trail running as well as more experienced runners.
The event is designed to go beyond the usual routes on Cannock Chase, taking runners onto less familiar trails and creating a true sense of adventure. A figure of eight course layout keeps runners close to the event base, allowing for strong spectator support throughout.
Runners benefit from regular water stations, on site facilities and a well organised race day experience. All finishers receive a medal and goodie bag, with prizes awarded across categories.
