The Mawdesley 10K Trail Run is a mixed terrain race based in the Lancashire village of Mawdesley, with event headquarters at The Red Lion on New Street. The event raises funds for Mawdesley Millennium Green, a community managed green space in the village.
Runners take on a varied 10K route across mixed terrain, providing an off road focused alternative to a conventional road race. The course makes use of the rural surroundings of Mawdesley and is run under Association of Running Clubs rules, with the event open to runners aged 15 and over.
The race has a strong community and charitable focus, bringing runners together for a countryside challenge while supporting the upkeep of Mawdesley Millennium Green. Its combination of village setting, mixed surfaces and 10K distance makes it well suited to regular trail runners and those looking to try a mixed terrain event.
