The Maverick North Downs is one of Surrey's premier trail running events, offering five distances that showcase the outstanding beauty of the Surrey Hills National Landscape. Starting from Cranleigh Showground, runners can choose from a 6K, 12K, 23K Half Marathon, 43K Marathon or 53K Ultra, making the event suitable for newcomers and experienced trail runners alike.
The routes wind through the ancient woodlands of Winterfold and Hurtwood Forest, climb to the panoramic viewpoints of Pitch Hill and, on the longer distances, continue across Leith Hill, Ranmore Common and sections of the famous North Downs Way. Expect flowing singletrack, forest trails, open countryside and a series of rewarding climbs throughout.
