The Malvern Midsummer Marathon is a long established summer endurance event that explores the length of the Malvern Hills and surrounding countryside. Organised by the Heart of England LDWA, the challenge offers a choice of 15 mile and 27 mile routes, both showcasing the distinctive ridges, valleys and panoramic views of this celebrated landscape.
Starting from Colwall Village Hall, both routes share an opening section through villages and hill trails before diverging. The longer 27 mile route traverses the full Malvern Hills ridge and includes additional sections through Ledbury and Bromsberrow, while the shorter 15 mile option returns to headquarters after covering the central section of the hills.
With substantial climbing, well stocked checkpoints and a hot meal at the finish, the event provides a rewarding challenge for runners seeking a demanding day on the trails. The combination of varied terrain, spectacular scenery and welcoming event atmosphere makes it a popular fixture on the summer endurance calendar.
