Challenging Treble Series springs back for 2022
Take on the hills again at three multi-terrain races in Staffordshire.
Warmer days are round the corner and that means the Spring Treble Series which returns this April to the delight of runners of all ages and abilities. Swap the tarmac for trail and make the most of three superb courses in the company of like minded, off-road aficionados.
A long standing favourite and well organised by Stone Master Marathoners (Stone MM), the Spring Treble Series of trail races are held on consecutive Thursday evenings and are 5 miles in distance. They are:
Race 1 – ‘Hanchurch Hilly’ on 14 April.
This single lap of Swynnerton Old Park kicks off the series and there are improved parking facilities too.
Race 2 – ‘Kibblestone Klamber’ on 21 April.
Expect a three lap quad burner around the Scout campsite.
Race 3 – ‘Barlaston Ups and Downs’ on 28 April.
The series finale and the chance to end on a high with a teeth gritting climb to the finish at Oulton Cricket Club. Note: there is a prize for the fastest man/woman on the downhill sprint in the first mile. The awards presentation and free buffet are held in the cricket club bar after Race 3.
Each race starts at 7pm allowing enough time to finish work, change and head on over to the race. With the lighter spring nights there'll be plenty of fantastic trail running to be had in early 2022.
