The Lundy Island Race is one of the UK's most distinctive trail running events, offering a rare opportunity to race across the entire length of the remote island in the Bristol Channel. Starting and finishing in the island village, the 13.5 mile course explores Lundy's dramatic coastline, rugged interior and iconic landmarks in an unforgettable adventure.
The fully marked route follows a mixture of technical coastal trails, grassy tracks and undulating clifftop paths, visiting all four corners of the island as well as the North Lighthouse and central ridge. Spectacular sea views, abundant wildlife and the island's unspoilt landscapes make every mile a memorable experience, while the challenging terrain rewards confident trail runners with a truly unique race.
Participants travel to the island aboard the historic MS Oldenburg or by their own arrangements, adding to the sense of adventure from the moment the day begins. With fully supported aid stations, a bespoke finisher's medal and one of Britain's most extraordinary race settings, the Lundy Island Race is a true bucket list event for trail runners.
