The Longbridge 100 Backyard Ultra returns to Alfriston for a unique endurance challenge that tests physical strength, mental resilience and determination. Following the internationally recognised backyard ultra format, runners complete a 4.2 mile loop every hour until only one competitor is left able to continue.
The mixed terrain course combines farm tracks and singletrack trails with approximately 190 metres of elevation on each lap, offering a demanding but scenic route through the South Downs. Runners are supported from a central race headquarters between laps, where they can rest, refuel and prepare for the next hourly start.
As a Silver Ticket event, the final runner standing earns qualification for the UK team at the Backyard Ultra World Team Championships. Whether aiming to reach a marathon, ultra marathon or simply push personal limits, the Longbridge 100 delivers an unforgettable endurance experience in a supportive and well organised setting.
