The Leeds Country Way In A Day 100K is a long distance challenge following a complete circuit around Leeds. Despite passing within 10K of the city centre, the route is predominantly rural, travelling through neighbouring villages, parks, nature reserves and open countryside.
Around 80% of the course is on trails, with the remainder using roads and tarmac. Runners follow public footpaths, bridleways and minor lanes along the Leeds Country Way, with navigation forming an important part of the challenge and participants responsible for following the route correctly.
Nine aid stations provide support around the course, with two also serving as drop bag points. Live tracking, first aid and post race food are provided, while the circular route gives runners extensive views towards the West and North Yorkshire countryside before returning to the finish.
