Last Crapaud Crawling Backyard Ultra is organised by Run Jersey Events and brings the demanding Last One Standing endurance format to Jersey's rugged northwest coast.
Runners tackle a 4.167 mile off road circuit, starting a new lap every hour. Each participant must complete the loop and return to the starting corral before the next bell. Anyone failing to finish within the hour or reach the start line for the next lap is eliminated. Careful pacing, nutrition and recovery become increasingly important as the challenge progresses.
The Full Crawl continues until only one runner remains, while separate 6, 12 and 24 hour categories provide defined endurance challenges. The repeated loop format allows runners to return regularly to the event base for rest and refreshments, with the coastal setting adding a distinctive Jersey character to this demanding test of physical and mental endurance.
