The Lamplighter 20 is a 20 mile night trail run in the North York Moors National Park, starting and finishing in Goathland. The circular route follows tracks, forestry trails and open moorland paths through the landscape of the North York Moors during the shortest night of the year.
The event runs from sunset towards sunrise, creating a true dusk to dawn trail running experience across rugged countryside and remote trails. Runners pass trig points and checkpoint locations while navigating varied terrain with woodland sections, open moorland and expansive night views throughout the course.
