The Ladybower Reservoir Trail Running Festival is a scenic Peak District event starting and finishing at Hope Showground. With 52K and 21K distances, the routes explore the countryside around Hope, Ladybower Reservoir and the Upper Derwent Valley through some of the area's best known landscapes.
Runners tackle mixed terrain including reservoir paths, forest tracks, moorland trails and rolling hills, with rewarding climbs opening onto views across Ladybower and Derwent Reservoirs. The 52K ultra covers approximately 52.5K with around 1,500 metres of elevation, while the shorter 21K provides a challenging introduction to longer distance trail running.
Routes are marked with trail flags, tags and directional signage, with marshals positioned at major junctions and aid stations supporting runners along the way. Participants are also provided with GPX route files for additional navigation, while chip timing, race photography, finish line goodies and a medal complete the event experience.
