Knowl Hill Fell Race

The Knowl Hill Race is a classic fell race organised by Rochdale Harriers in the South Pennines. Based near Norden, the event covers approximately 6 miles with nearly 400 metres of ascent, providing a demanding test of climbing ability and fell running experience.

The route heads onto the hills above Rochdale, tackling steep ascents, fast descents and rough fell terrain characteristic of the Pennine landscape. Despite its relatively short distance, the significant elevation gain makes it a challenging race that rewards strong hill running and descending skills.

As the final race in the Rochdale Harriers Three Day Event, following the road race and trail race on the preceding days, Knowl Hill offers a fitting finale for competitors while also standing alone as a respected fell race in the regional calendar.
