The Kirkhill 8 is an eight hour trail endurance event held in Kirkhill Forest near Aberdeen. Runners complete repeated 4.3 mile loops entirely on forest trails, choosing their own target distance from marathon and 50K milestones through to 40 and 50 mile ultra distances.
The runnable woodland terrain and looped course create an accessible format for both first time ultra runners and experienced endurance athletes. Set within one of north east Scotland’s best known forest trail areas, the event combines scenic trail running with a supportive ultra marathon atmosphere.
