The Kettering Christmas 10K and 5K takes place at Wicksteed Park in Northamptonshire, bringing runners and families together for a festive event in scenic parkland surroundings. Alongside the main 5K and 10K races, there is a 3K event and a shorter Christmas Scurry of approximately 500m, providing distances for different ages and abilities.
The 5K and 10K races follow a mixture of tarmac roads and firm gravel paths within Wicksteed Park, avoiding grassy sections. The event welcomes first time runners, recreational participants and experienced athletes, with chip timing, individual race results and prizes for leading finishers. The 3K provides another competitive distance, while the Christmas Scurry introduces younger children to the festive running atmosphere.
Christmas costumes are encouraged, with prizes for the best dressed participants adding to the celebrations. Runners receive a bespoke finisher's medal and Christmas goodies, while trophies recognise leading male and female finishers and additional age group winners in the 10K.
