Kestrel 5 is a five-mile mixed terrain race organised by Rimrose Runners through Rimrose Valley in north Liverpool.
The traffic-free course combines woodland paths, open parkland, canal paths and hidden trails through the valley. The terrain is fast and runnable while still providing enough off-road variety to create a genuine trail challenge, making the race suitable for runners chasing a quick time as well as those stepping up from 5K.
The event has a strong community focus, celebrating both local running and the green spaces of Rimrose Valley. Marshals support runners around the course, with a DJ and group warm-up adding to the start-line atmosphere. Every finisher receives a themed Kestrel 5 medal.
