John O'Groats 10K is organised by North Highland Harriers and follows a scenic point to point road course through the far north of Scotland.
Starting at John O'Groats Mill, the undulating route follows mainly quiet single track country lanes around John O'Groats. Along the way, runners can enjoy extensive coastal views across the Pentland Firth towards Stroma and the Orkney Islands before finishing beside the iconic John O'Groats signpost.
The race is organised as a fundraiser for Thurso RNLI, with a minimum of £5 from each race entry donated directly to the lifeboat station.
Trophies and medals are awarded, with spot prizes also available. The combination of quiet rural roads, coastal scenery and one of Britain's most recognisable finishing locations gives the John O'Groats 10K a distinctive setting.
