Race 2 of the Jane Tomlinson Canal Race Series takes place on a measured 5K course along the Aire and Calder Navigation near Methley. The flat route follows canal towpaths throughout, creating fast running conditions on a straightforward and accessible course.

Part of a long established three race summer series organised by Rothwell Harriers, the event attracts runners of all abilities looking for competitive 5K racing on a flat and well marshalled route. The series raises funds for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and has been a popular fixture in the local running calendar for many years.
