The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon is organised by Run For All and takes runners on a 13.1 mile road race through the heart of the Suffolk county town.
Starting and finishing at Portman Road Stadium, home of Ipswich Town FC, the route heads along Duke Street and through Ipswich Waterfront before continuing along Cliff Lane. Runners then follow the course around the River Orwell towards Wherstead Road before returning via Grafton Way for a memorable finish at the stadium.
Thousands of runners take part, with spectators providing plenty of support as the race makes its way through Ipswich. The combination of town centre running, waterfront scenery and the stadium setting gives the event a distinctive character.
The race features chip timing, with every finisher receiving an exclusive medal and goody bag. Runners can also order a finisher T shirt and personalised medal insert.
