The Honiton Hippo is a challenging multi terrain event based at Honiton Primary School in Devon. The main race covers roughly seven miles across a varied course featuring woodland, trails, hills, mud and river crossings.
Runners can tackle the full Honiton Hippo or the shorter 5K Hungry Hippo, while younger runners can take part in the 3K Hippo Calf junior race. The varied terrain and water crossings make for a tough but enjoyable running challenge.
Organised by Honiton Running Club, the event has a welcoming club atmosphere with supportive marshals around the course. Its mixture of muddy trails, hills, woodland and river crossings gives the event a distinctive character from start to finish.
