The Highclere Castle 10K is a scenic mixed terrain race organised by Newbury Athletic Club within the grounds of Highclere Castle near Newbury. The event provides a rare opportunity to run through the historic estate, with an undulating single lap course surrounded by impressive parkland and countryside.
Runners tackle a varied 10K route incorporating tarmac roads, gravel tracks, woodland paths and grass fields, with a short section on a public road. Each kilometre is marked and marshals guide runners around the course, while the changing surfaces and undulating profile provide an enjoyable challenge in the distinctive Highclere Castle setting.
Adult finishers receive a finisher's T shirt, with chip timing, a hydration station and prizes for leading runners also provided. A 2K Junior Race accompanies the main event, giving younger runners the opportunity to take part and experience the race day atmosphere.
