Heart & Soul Fest takes place at Druridge Bay Country Park and features a range of running based challenges as part of a wider endurance festival. At its core are the Heart Break Lake events, where runners complete repeated laps of a set off road loop over 4, 12 or 24 hours, choosing how far to push within the time limit.
The running course is a measured 4km loop across mixed parkland and trail terrain, designed for steady pacing, endurance and lap based strategy rather than technical navigation. Participants can run solo, in pairs or as teams, with results based on total laps completed.
Alongside the ultra format, the event also includes hybrid fitness challenges, but the running element remains central, with continuous movement over extended time periods on a consistent off road circuit.
