The Hawkshead 10K is an undulating road race held in the Lake District village of Hawkshead. Organised by Kendal Amateur Athletic Club, the event forms part of the Kendal AAC Road Race Series, a collection of races staged across some of Cumbria's most scenic locations.
The course follows an anticlockwise route around Esthwaite Water, taking runners through the surrounding countryside and past Near Sawrey. The route also passes Hill Top, the former home of Beatrix Potter, before returning to Hawkshead for the finish.
Set within the Lake District National Park, the race combines rural roads, rolling terrain and lakeside scenery. Views across Esthwaite Water, the surrounding countryside and nearby fells help make the Hawkshead 10K one of the standout races in the Kendal AAC Road Race Series.
