The Harwich Runners 5K Series Race 4 is the fourth event in the popular five race summer series held on Dovercourt seafront. Organised by Harwich Runners, the series uses a unique timed handicap format that gives runners of all abilities the opportunity to compete together while earning valuable series points.

The fast, officially measured 5K starts and finishes near Harwich Rugby Club, following a predominantly flat route along the promenade, coastal roads and park paths. The handicap start system encourages close finishes, with handicaps adjusted after each race to keep the competition fair and rewarding throughout the series.

With a friendly club atmosphere, chip timing and a long established reputation for producing personal bests, Race 4 is a key stage of the Harwich Runners 5K Series as competitors strengthen their positions before the final race and the overall series standings.
