The Chas Avis Harvest Trail is a scenic trail running event hosted by Royston Runners in the rolling Hertfordshire countryside. Starting from Heath Sports Club in Royston, the routes head out through the surrounding rural landscape and follow picturesque trails around Royston and Therfield.
Runners can choose between a Half Marathon and a 6.5 mile Quarter Marathon, with both distances providing an enjoyable off road challenge across varied countryside. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and includes chip timing, water stations, distance markers and medical support, with no formal time limit to complete the course.
The event has a friendly, traditional club race atmosphere and keeps things simple by serving plenty of post race cake rather than providing finisher medals. Facilities include toilets, changing rooms, showers and bag storage on request, while the event also supports Royston & District Community Transport.
