The route begins with an ascent of the Hill via Football Lane, then is run along pavements through the historic centre of the Hill before descending down Sudbury Hill then down Sudbury Court Drive. The section alongside Northwick Park is flat before the ascent begins again through the school grounds and Football Lane for the second time. After descending for a second time, runners are directed back into the school grounds via the footpath alongside Ducker Fields to the finish on the Harrow School Track.
