The Half BraemarAthon is a scenic running event based at Braemar Highland Games Centre in Royal Deeside. The programme includes Half Marathon, 10 mile and 10K races, with each distance using an out and back route from Braemar towards the Linn of Dee.
Runners follow an undulating course alongside the River Dee through the striking landscape surrounding Braemar. The 10K and 10 mile races use the opening sections of the Half Marathon course before turning back at their respective points, making the event suitable for runners looking for a choice of distances on the same scenic route.
All three races are chip timed, with four water stations provided along the route. Finishers receive a medal and goodie bag, while prizes are awarded to the leading male and female runners along with age category winners.
