Race 1 of the GWR Towpath Series is a 10K trail race in Bristol organised by Great Western Runners. The event forms part of a four race summer series featuring three 10K races followed by a 5K finale later in the season.
The out and back route follows the towpath beside the River Avon with a mix of tarmac and gravel surfaces, along with some roots and uneven sections underfoot. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and inclusive feel, the opening race also includes the popular Mob Match team competition between local running clubs.
