The Butterfield Half Marathon is a major fixture on the Guernsey Athletics calendar, attracting runners of different abilities for a scenic 13.1 mile road race around the island. The point to point course starts at L’Eree on Guernsey’s west coast and takes runners towards the finish in St Peter Port.
Runners follow a fast and predominantly flat course showcasing some of Guernsey’s coastal scenery, making the race suitable for first time half marathon participants as well as experienced runners targeting a personal best. The course is officially certified, the event is UKA licensed and a 3 hour 30 minute cut off applies.
The Butterfield Half Marathon has a welcoming atmosphere and attracts both local runners and visitors looking to experience Guernsey on foot. Finishers receive a commemorative medal, while participants can choose a souvenir running top or opt for its equivalent cost to be donated to the event’s chosen charity.
