The Gosfield Backyard Ultra takes place in the grounds of Gosfield School in Essex, following the internationally recognised backyard ultra format. Runners complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour, on the hour, with the challenge continuing until only one participant is able to complete a solo lap.
The fully marked trail course is supported by race headquarters with camping, changing facilities, showers, refreshments and space for support crews. Every completed lap must be finished within the hour before participants return to the start for the next loop.
