The Golden Gates Gallop is the annual race of Borrowash Jolly Joggers Running Club and takes place within the magnificent grounds of Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire. Featuring a 5 mile multi terrain race alongside a 2 mile Fun Run, the event welcomes runners of all ages and abilities while raising funds for Blood Cancer UK.
Starting beneath the iconic Golden Gates and finishing at Elvaston Cricket Club, the 5 mile course follows a scenic two lap route through historic parkland, woodland trails and the famous Gallops, showcasing one of Derbyshire's finest country estates. The 2 mile Fun Run completes a single lap, making it ideal for families, younger runners and those new to organised events. With chip timing, finisher's medals, enthusiastic local support and a welcoming atmosphere, the Golden Gates Gallop combines heritage, community spirit and enjoyable multi terrain running to remain one of Derbyshire's best established annual running events.
