Gods Own BYU is a backyard ultra event in Leeds following the classic last runner standing format. Competitors complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour on the hour, continuing until only one runner remains able to complete the course within the time limit.
Part of the Backyard Ultra Series, the route combines canal towpaths, farmland trails, woodland sections and tarmac paths around Hawksworth and Kirkstall Forge. The mixed terrain and endurance format create a demanding ultra marathon challenge that continues through day and night until a single finisher is left.
