Gavin Tipper 5K

The Gavin Tipper 5K is a charity road race held in Kingswinford and organised in memory of Gavin Tipper. A respected figure in local sport, Gavin was involved with rugby, triathlon, athletics and cycling, and was known for encouraging participation across all ages and abilities.

The event raises funds for Action Heart, a Dudley based charity that provides cardiac rehabilitation and heart health support. Since its launch, the race has become a popular community event, bringing runners together to celebrate Gavin's contribution to sport while supporting an important local cause.

As well as offering a competitive 5K challenge, the event reflects Gavin's passion for helping others enjoy sport and physical activity. Its combination of charitable fundraising, community involvement and local sporting heritage makes it a distinctive fixture in the Black Country running calendar.
