The Garstang Half Marathon is a long established road race based in the Lancashire market town of Garstang. The scenic one lap course heads through the surrounding countryside, with an undulating profile and several hills adding to the challenge.
Runners take on 13.1 miles of varied road running, with the rolling terrain providing a testing alternative to flatter Half Marathon courses. The rural setting and changing gradients make pacing an important part of the race and provide plenty of variety throughout the route.
Organised by Garstang Running Club, the event has become a well established fixture in the local running calendar. Race headquarters are based at Garstang Sports Club, with the race starting nearby at the Royal Oak.
