The Fluffy Phoenix is a seven hour timed running event beside the River Thames in Walton on Thames. Runners choose how far they want to go, with distances ranging from 5K and 10K through to half marathon, marathon and ultra distances.
The flat course follows a 3.3 mile out and back route along the riverside towpath, returning runners to the start and finish area after each lap. Participants can complete as many or as few laps as they choose within the seven hour time limit.
Organised by Phoenix Running, the flexible format allows runners to set their own distance goal or continue beyond marathon distance for an ultra. The repeated lap course also gives runners regular access to the event support and aid station throughout their challenge.
