Festive Foodbank Reindeer Run is organised by Body and Sole Fitness as a fundraising 5K supporting Trussell Trust foodbanks in and around Glasgow.
The route starts near Bellahouston Sports Centre before briefly heading onto Mosspark Boulevard and returning to the park. Runners complete sections around the cricket pitch before passing the Palace of Art and House for an Art Lover, with the final part of the course returning to the track for the finish.
This is a deliberately informal event rather than a conventional competitive road race. The approximately 5K course is GPS measured and marked, with marshals subject to volunteer availability, while finishing times are recorded manually rather than using chip timing.
Festive touches include foam reindeer antlers, with participants encouraged to enjoy the occasion while helping raise money for Glasgow foodbanks.
