Edinburgh Christmas Running Festival is organised by Great Scottish Events and has become an established part of the city's festive running calendar.
The event takes place in Inverleith Park, with the 5K and 10K following loops around the park's paths and open spaces. The setting offers views across Edinburgh's skyline and provides an accessible course for both experienced runners and those taking part for fun.
A Junior 1500m Fun Run completes the programme, while festive fancy dress is encouraged across the event. The 5K starts first, followed by the 10K and then the junior race.
The 5K and 10K are chip timed, with results published after the event. Finishers receive a medal, and number and chip collection takes place near the start gantry at the Royal Botanic Garden end of Inverleith Park.
