Eddie's Revenge Fell Race

Eddie's Revenge is a challenging midweek fell race organised by Middleton Harriers, taking runners across the trails, moorland and rough terrain of Crompton Moor above Shaw. Despite its relatively short distance, the race is renowned for packing plenty of climbing and technical running into a compact route.

Covering approximately 3.8 miles with around 1,000 feet of ascent, the course features a mixture of forest trails, moorland paths and open fell terrain. A series of climbs and descents keeps the pressure on throughout, culminating in a fast downhill finish that rewards confident runners. The route is predominantly runnable but demands strength, fitness and good pacing from the start.

Run under Fell Runners Association rules, Eddie's Revenge is a popular fixture in the local fell running calendar and forms part of the Run The Moors Fell Race Series. Combining competitive racing with a friendly club atmosphere, it attracts experienced fell runners and those looking to test themselves on a classic Pennine fell race.
