The Lindsays scottishathletics East District Cross Country Championships bring together athletes from affiliated clubs and schools across eastern Scotland. Held at the University of Stirling, the championships feature individual races for junior, senior and masters age groups, providing an important opportunity for district competition.
Race distances vary by age category, progressing from approximately 3K to 4K for Under 14 athletes through to 8K to 9K for senior and masters competitors. The cross country format challenges runners across natural terrain, with championship racing providing opportunities to test endurance, pace and race tactics against athletes from across the district.
Athletes must hold current scottishathletics membership and represent an eligible first claim club or affiliated school or university club. Entries are made in advance, with separate categories for each age group and championship awards recognising leading individual performances.
