The East Coast Classic Mablethorpe 10K is a seaside road race along the Lincolnshire coast, starting and finishing on Mablethorpe Promenade near the RNLI Lifeboat Station. The out and back route heads south towards Sandilands before returning along the promenade.
Runners can expect a mainly flat and traffic free 10K, with just a couple of short inclines and declines along the way. The accurately measured course and chip timing make it well suited to runners targeting a quick time, while the exposed coastal setting gives the race its distinctive character.
Originally organised by Mablethorpe Running Club, the East Coast Classic returned to the calendar under Lincolnshire Athletics and also hosts the Lincolnshire county 10K road championships. The promenade course is well marshalled, with water available at the turnaround point and finish.
